This is a horror comedy anthology that's said to feature "a series of short segments taking aim at traditional genre tropes and overused clichés." Scare Package is definitely not a scarefest. You probable won't have nightmares because of it, but you will definitely have some of the jokes and surprises imprinted on your head for a while.
That being said, the segments have great practical effects that will please fans of gore. Directed by Courtney Andujar, Hilary Andujar, Anthony Cousins, Emily Hagins, Aaron B. Koontz, Chris McInroy, Noah Segan, and Baron Vaughn. All in all, Scare Package rums the gamut from mediocre to very good, with no stories that quite gravitate either to greatness or awfulness. Scare Package is a remarkably effective, solid anthology movie. The tone is fun and light-hearted. with the emphasis on gooey, crunchy, splattery gore You've gotta love a film that is willing to be silly, and Scare Package embraces its goofy side.
